Green chilli exporter from India
Fresh green chillies (G4, Bullet and similar) for export. Polybags and cartons, HS 07096000. Air and sea options by destination.

We export fresh green chillies for wholesale and foodservice. G4 is the variety most buyers name; Bullet-type lots are also quoted. Packing is polybags in cartons unless you specify otherwise.
Green chilli is an air-freight product far more often than a sea one. Shelf life is short enough that most export programmes fly, so the lot reaches the market within days of harvest rather than weeks. Sea only makes sense on genuinely short lanes with the right pack, and we would rather tell you that than book a container that arrives soft.
Because it flies, the order maths is different from a container SKU. Air MOQs across the trade commonly sit around 500 kg to 1 MT depending on destination, and the quote uses an airport code rather than a seaport. Reefer carriage where sea is used is typically specified around 8–10°C.
HS 07096000 is the usual tariff line, with a phytosanitary certificate per shipment. Residue limits are the buyer's rules to name — GCC and EU MRLs both apply to Indian consignments, so tell us the destination's limits before production rather than after loading.
Air is the norm; short packing-to-flight window. Around 8–10°C where reefer sea is used. Do not mix with ethylene-heavy fruit unless agreed.

Which cut should you specify?
| Decision | Typical answer | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Method | Air freight in most cases | Shelf life is short; days to market, not weeks |
| MOQ | Commonly ~500 kg – 1 MT by air | Air lots are far smaller than a sea container |
| Temperature | ≈8–10°C where reefer sea is used | Heat and delay are what spoil the lot |
| Variety | G4 most often; Bullet also quoted | Heat level and market style differ |
| Pack | Polybags in ventilated cartons | Condensation is as damaging as heat |
| Documents | Invoice, packing list, phytosanitary | Phyto is per shipment |
| Residue | Buyer names the MRL scope | GCC and EU limits both apply to Indian cargo |
These are how green chilli programmes are generally structured across the trade, so you can frame an enquiry. The MOQ, temperature and residue scope for your consignment are confirmed on the quote against the destination's rules.
FAQ
Does green chilli ship by air or by sea?
Air, in most cases. The shelf life is short enough that flying is what gets a sound lot to market, and most export programmes are built that way. Sea works on short lanes with the right pack and a tight cold chain. We will tell you which your destination needs rather than booking whichever is cheaper.
What is the minimum order for green chilli?
Air lots across the trade commonly start around 500 kg to 1 MT depending on destination, which is much smaller than a sea container. Tell us the quantity, the destination airport, and your pack, and we confirm what is loadable.
What temperature should green chilli travel at?
Where reefer sea is used, around 8–10°C is the usual specification. On air the priority is a short packing-to-flight window and avoiding heat on the tarmac — the setpoint matters less than the elapsed time.
What heat level can you supply?
G4 and Bullet are the types most often quoted. Tell us the Scoville range or the market style you are matching and we source against it rather than shipping a generic lot.
Which residue limits apply to Indian green chilli?
The importing country's. GCC and EU both enforce their own MRLs on Indian consignments, and chilli is a crop where residue questions are common. Name your MRL scope on the enquiry so testing is agreed before production, not after the cargo is at the airport.
Which markets buy Indian green chilli?
The UAE is the largest single destination, with the wider Gulf, the UK, USA, Malaysia, Canada and Singapore all importing. Those are trade facts, not a claim of our own shipments — we are a new exporter and quote these lanes rather than citing past ones.
