The registrations that let us export, and where you can check them yourself rather than take our word for it.
We are a new exporter, so the registrations are what a buyer can actually verify about us — there is no shipment history to point at yet, and we would rather say so than imply one. Where the issuing body publishes a public record, it is linked below. Where it does not, ask and we will send the certificate.
APEDA
Registration-cum-Membership Certificate for scheduled agricultural products, issued by the Government of India.
FSSAI
Food Safety and Standards Authority of India licence. The 14-digit number can be checked on the FoSCoS FBO search.

ISO 9001:2015
Third-party audited quality management certification.

IEC
Importer-Exporter Code from DGFT. Every legal Indian exporter has one; ask for ours and check the legal name matches the invoice.

How to check an Indian exporter
Worth doing with any new supplier, including us. Four checks take about ten minutes:
- IEC — every legal Indian exporter has one, issued by DGFT. Ask for the code and confirm the legal name on it matches the invoice you will be paying.
- FSSAI — the 14-digit licence number can be checked on the FoSCoS FBO search. Confirm it is active and that the premises address matches.
- APEDA RCMC — required for scheduled agricultural products. The registration number and the legal name should agree with everything else.
- The name on the bank account — it should match the exporter name on the IEC and the proforma. A mismatch here is worth stopping for, whoever the supplier is.
