We are not going to sell you these ingredients for pet food. Onion and garlic are toxic to dogs and cats, and no commercial argument changes that.
Onion and garlic both belong to the Allium family, and Allium species are toxic to dogs and cats. The mechanism is damage to red blood cells, and dehydrated forms are more concentrated by weight than fresh — so a dried ingredient is not a safer version of a fresh one, it is a more concentrated one.
We list this page because pet food buyers do search for dehydrated vegetable suppliers, and we would rather be found and say no than take the enquiry. If you are formulating for dogs or cats, our onion and garlic lines are not suitable at any inclusion rate we would be comfortable supplying.

FAQ — Pet food
Can I use dehydrated onion or garlic in dog food?
No. Both are Allium species and both are toxic to dogs, causing damage to red blood cells. Dehydrated forms are more concentrated by weight than fresh, so drying makes the problem worse rather than better. We will not quote our lines for this application.
What about small amounts as a flavouring?
We are not going to give you an inclusion rate, because we are not the right people to set one and the downside is an animal being harmed. If you believe there is a safe level for your formulation, that is a conversation for a veterinary toxicologist and your regulator, not a supplier's sales page.
Do you supply any pet food ingredients?
