Spinach powder and dried spinach leaf from India

Colour is what buyers judge spinach powder on, and colour is a processing outcome. Tell us the application and we will be straight about what is achievable.

Spinach Powder export from India

Spinach is sold either as dried leaf or as powder, and the two serve different lines. Leaf goes into soups, noodle seasoning sachets and ready meals where visible green flecks are the point. Powder goes into blends, extrusion and nutraceutical formats where dispersion matters more than appearance.

Colour is the parameter buyers care about most and the one most affected by drying. A bright green powder and a dull olive one can both sit within an ordinary moisture specification. If colour is critical to your product, say so at the enquiry stage so it can be specified rather than hoped for.

Microbiological limits matter more on leafy material than on alliums. Buyers commonly specify total plate count, yeast and mould, and absence of specific organisms. Agree those limits in writing before production and we will read the lot's COA against them.

We quote this as a secondary line alongside dehydrated onion and garlic, which remain the core of the desk. We would rather tell you that than imply a depth of experience we do not yet have on this product.

FAQ

Leaf or powder, which do I need?

Leaf if visible green pieces are part of the product, for example a soup or a seasoning sachet. Powder if it has to disperse into a blend or a dough. If you are not sure, describe the end product and we will tell you which buyers in that application usually take.

How green will the powder be?

That depends on the drying process and we will not promise a shade cold. If colour is a specification point for you, state it on the enquiry and we will confirm in writing what a processing partner can achieve before anything is produced.

What microbiological limits can you meet?

Tell us your limits and we will confirm against them rather than publish a generic panel. Leafy material carries a higher microbiological load than alliums, so this is worth agreeing before the PO rather than after.

What mesh is standard for the powder?

There is no single standard. Write the mesh or a retained-on-sieve range on the purchase order so lots match your equipment, as you would for onion powder.

Is spinach a core line for you?

No. Dehydrated onion and garlic are the core. Spinach is quoted as a secondary dehydrated vegetable where the specification is achievable. We would rather be clear about that than oversell it.
