Dehydrated onion is sold as a dry ingredient, but it still takes up water if cartons sit in humid yards or unsealed containers. On a sailing from west-coast India to the US, North Europe, or East Asia, that dwell is longer than a domestic move.
Write max moisture or water activity on the PO. We put the lot’s result on the COA. Cool, dry storage after discharge matters as much as the factory spec. Reefer is not required for standard dehydrated onion; a dry container and intact liners are.
If powder cakes or flakes darken, the cause is usually moisture pickup or heat in storage, not “export quality” as a slogan. Tell us destination climate and pack (bag, carton, drum) on the enquiry so the quote matches the lane.
