Dehydrated onion powder and flakes exporter — India

Powder is the cut most of this trade actually moves — roughly seven in ten recorded shipments of Indian dehydrated onion. We quote powder, flakes, kibbled, chopped and granules against your written specification.

Dehydrated Onion — Flakes & Powder export from India

Sarang Multiple Solution supplies dehydrated onion from India to food manufacturers, foodservice, and bulk packers. The desk is in Pune (Chikhali). The onion line is dehydrated/kibbled onion, flakes, and powder — not fresh onion.

Low moisture and stable colour and flavour are the reason buyers specify this SKU on long ocean instead of fresh onion. Stored cool and dry, lots are typically quoted with a shelf life up to about 24 months. Moisture and water activity are written on the COA for the lot, not as a marketing percentage.

We quote by dry container to any named port. Most of this trade moves to Southeast Asia — Indonesia alone is about a third of India's dehydrated onion exports — followed by Brazil and the wider Americas, then West and East Africa. Name your discharge port on the enquiry so the quote comes back FOB India or CIF that port.

Packing is poly bags, cartons, or food-grade pouches and drums. HS 07122000 is typical. Specify flake size or powder mesh, toasted vs standard flavour, and quantity in kg or MT on the form.

Ordered by how often each cut appears in Indian export records: powder and flakes together are the large majority of shipments, with kibbled, chopped and granules well behind. The ranges are how the trade generally describes these cuts so you can write a spec — they are not a claim about a particular lot. Mesh, moisture, water activity, bulk density and micro results for your shipment are stated on that lot's COA. Send us your plant's limits and we quote against them.

FAQ

What is the difference between kibbled onion, flakes, and powder?

Kibbled (dehydrated pieces) is the coarsest cut. Flakes are thinner pieces that hydrate slower and stay visible in soups and ready meals. Powder is milled for sauces, snacks, and seasonings — write mesh size on the PO. We supply all three from one onion line.

What is the minimum order?

MOQ depends on pack and the factory lot. Put kg or metric tons, pack type, and destination port on the form and we confirm what we can load.

What moisture can you supply?

Export lots are low-moisture, with the limit on the COA for that shipment. We do not publish a single marketing %. State your plant’s max moisture or water activity on the enquiry.

How is dehydrated onion packed?

Poly bags, cartons, food-grade pouches, or drums. Tell us foodservice vs industrial and we match pack to the quote.

FOB or CIF?

Both. FOB India (typical load Nhava Sheva or Mundra) or CIF to your named port. Dry container is standard; no reefer for this SKU.

Can you ship dehydrated onion worldwide, including the USA and Rotterdam?

Yes. Ocean dry containers are the usual method. We quote CIF to the named US, European, or other port. Pune is the office; cargo loads from the west-coast India port on the booking.

Do you also sell fresh onion?

This page is the dehydrated line only (kibbled, flakes, powder). Ask if you need a different spec.
