Dehydrated onion and garlic for retail and private label packers

Retail adds a layer the industrial channel does not have: your pack has to satisfy a regulator and a shopper, not just a QA manager. Labelling rules are the destination's, and they are not optional.

Who buys: Retail packers, private-label brand owners, supermarket own-brand suppliers, ethnic food brands
What goes wrong: A pack that cannot be legally sold in the destination because the labelling does not meet local rules.

Labelling is the destination's rule, not ours and not yours. Declarations, language, nutrition format and units all differ between the EU, the Gulf, the US and Southeast Asia, and a pack that is compliant in one is often not in another. Confirm the requirements with your own regulatory advisor or importer before artwork is finalised — a relabelling exercise at the port is expensive and avoidable.

Per-SKU volumes are the commercial reality here. A retail range of six variants means six smaller runs, not one big one, and that changes both the pricing and what a factory will accept. Tell us the SKU count and the volume per SKU early, because a range that works commercially at one volume may not at another.

Consistency matters more once your name is on the pack. Industrial buyers tolerate a spec band; a shopper comparing two jars of the same brand does not. Colour and particle consistency between production runs is worth specifying explicitly if the product is visible through the pack.

FAQ — Retail & private label

Can you supply private label packs?

Buyer-branded packs are possible when agreed in the contract. Tell us the destination market, the pack format and the volume per SKU. We will be straight about what is achievable at your volumes rather than agreeing to a range and struggling with it later.

Who is responsible for labelling compliance?

You and your importer, for the destination market. Requirements differ between the EU, the Gulf, the US and Southeast Asia, and a compliant EU pack may not be sellable in Saudi Arabia. Confirm with your regulatory advisor before artwork is finalised — fixing it at the port is expensive.

What shelf life can I declare on a retail pack?

Whatever you can support with data for your pack and market, which is not necessarily the same as the ingredient's storage life in a sealed industrial bag. Pack barrier properties and destination climate both affect it. Base the declaration on your own stability work rather than on our storage guidance.

What is the minimum volume for a private label range?

It depends on the SKU count, because a six-variant range is six runs rather than one. Send the range, the pack format and the volume per SKU and we will tell you what is realistic instead of quoting a headline MOQ that does not survive contact with your actual plan.
